The Maker Space Movement: What School Leaders Should Know

- This interactive presentation will highlight why the Makerspace Movement is continuing to grow in school settings. Participants will become familiar with best practices for implementing a makerspace, including ideas for funding, using space, and tips from practitioners. Participants will also have the opportunity to create a maker project based on the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards and discuss Maker Mindset Skills and project assessment.
Registration fee includes a continental breakfast beginning at 8:30 AM. Program starts at 9:00 AM. Participants can do lunch on your own after the program ends. A variety of options exist close to the venue in Catonsville.
Inclement Weather date will be February 2, 2017 same times and location.
