• Jason T. Green  inspired by his youth development and nonprofit work as a student at Morehouse College, has dedicated his career to creating positive change in education. As a member of the leadership team at Redbird Advanced Learning, he partnered with Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education to re-envision professional learning. 9:00- 10:00 Building and Developing Human Capacity in Blended Transformations, featured speaker: Jason Green

One of the greatest challenges districts are facing in successfully transitioning to 21st century learning environments is how to effectively achieve buy-in from educators and help teachers and leaders build new instructional skills required for today’s classrooms. Traditional models of professional development are outdated. Deeper work is required to shift mindset and culture. This session will explore key characteristics and strategies of building capacity for sustained 21st century learning environments.

10:15- 11:15 Emerging Technology Places Teachers in the Seat of the 21st Century Learner

 If teachers are going to help students become 21st century learners, they must become 21stcentury learners themselves.” Our panel discussion will focus on ways McGraw-Hill Education is leveraging emerging technology to build teacher capacity in the art and science of blended and personalized learning. We will identify four key characteristics of the most effective teacher training strategies and explore how these characteristics have been integrated into the highly adaptive and personalized Redbird Professional Learning Platform.
