Are you considering a promotion to an administrative position?  Are you moving from teaching to administration or the assistant principalship to the principalship?  Whether you are considering it for the immediate future or for some time later, MASSP has a workshop designed just for you!  Together, MAESP and MASSP are hosting this Aspiring Leaders’ Workshop giving educators the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills; hear from current principals and assistant principals; and participate in writing prompts, interviews, data analysis and administrative problem solving.   This event will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 8:00 - 4:00 p.m. virtually.  The workshop will be interactive, engaging, and timely!  We will provide built in breaks for reflection and lunch!

The intent of this workshop is to allow participants to experience “real-life” administrative responsibilities and gain personal confidence with many of the activities normally used by districts to determine a candidate’s readiness for promotion.  The activities include: responding to a writing prompt, communicating with teachers and central office personnel, analyzing data & reporting to the School Leadership Team, conducting an observation and providing feedback, participating in a problem-solving activity, experiencing a personal interview with current or retired school administrators and gathering tips for building a resume & writing a cover letter.

The cost Includes workshop and MATERIALS, as well as access to all padlet materials:

$75.00 for Elementary, Middle or Secondary Association Members or Non-members
