The Maryland Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) empowers, develops, and connects school leaders to promote educational excellence and equity.

- Serve as the state voice for principals, assistant principals, and other secondary school leaders.
- Influence legislators on issues of importance to secondary schools.
- Grow and rejuvenate membership.
- Support principals and assistant principals in their work as leaders.
- Give value added services that address administrative needs and interests.
- Help members to enhance the leadership capacity in their schools.
- Help develop the next generation of school leaders.
- Encourage aspiring administrators.
- Personalize the services of the organization to involve aspiring principals and assistant principals.
- Maintain sound management and financial practices and procedures.
- Increase the use of the Website and information technology to improve organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
- Continue to evaluate and strengthen the management and administrative operations of the organization.
- Cultivate a more responsive system of governance to best serve the needs of administrators statewide.
- Promote ongoing communication, coordination, and collaboration within the organization.
- Reach out to current and prospective members to include and involve them in MASSP activities.
